Pottery with Personality

As the head Mud Maker at Monkey in the Mud Pottery, I create whimsical, hand-built ceramics that blend humor, character, and function.  My work ranges from sculpted animals and playful figures to mugs, trays, and magnets featuring snarky sayings, as well as one-of-a-kind teapots, bowls, vases, and platters.  Each piece is designed to bring joy, spark laughter, and invite connection.

I believe that pottery should be both functional and fun, and I find the greatest fulfillment when someone smiles while holding one of my creations.  Whether it’s a cheeky shot glass, a character-filled mug, or a sculptural piece that tells its own story, my goal is to turn everyday moments into something a little more lighthearted.

As a ceramic artist, I embrace the messy, imperfect, and joy-filled process of working with clay.  Every piece is carefully hand-built, allowing personality and spontaneity to shine through.  I share my work at arts and crafts festivals throughout the year, where I love engaging directly with people and seeing how my pottery brightens their day.
